ABOUT TOUR DE PANCREAS



The Eck Roosen Foundation and Support Casper have joined forces in the sporting fight against pancreatic cancer. Together we are stronger and we hope to warm up many runners and cyclists for this special charity tour, in which we conquer the Mont Ventoux on Saturday September 14, 2024. A run, hike and bike ride in memory of all who are no longer with us due to this illness and for a future where there are effective pancreatic cancer treatments for those diagnosed.

Pancreatic cancer is an unprecedented debilitating disease that is fast becoming the second deadliest form of cancer in the Netherlands, with eight to ten victims every day. Although great advances have been made in cancer treatment in recent years, a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is still a death sentence. The disease affects approximately 3,000 people annually; 90% of them die within a year.

All funds raised will be donated to the Support Casper | Survival with Pancreatic Cancer Foundation that finances scientific research into the development of innovative, effective and affordable treatment methods for pancreatic cancer.
